I love the old Mini... We had one just like that when I was a kid!ReplyDelete
I do, too, extra - I have a Mini Cooper now!ReplyDelete
Me too! I've got a Clubman. Love it. Changed my life ; ) So much fun!ReplyDelete
Hiker! We're car sisters!ReplyDelete
Looking forward to meeting my virtual colleagues next week!ReplyDelete
Laura, this whole invite is going to get hi-jacked by that mini and, for us Brits who are not going to make Austin Texas, by deep nostalgia: my first car, vibrantly hideous British Leyland burnt orange in colour, no syncromesh in the gears, steering wheel like a London bus and gear stick as long as my arm, couldn't go (comfortably) much above 60, but, in town, felt like a racing car; I loved it so!ReplyDelete
So sorry won't be able to join you on Wednesday, but probably just as well for those who can now that you have got reminiscing!
A car-jacking! Excellent!ReplyDelete
I am so pleased the Mini has elicited such reminiscences - I have to say my new car is the first time I've ever enjoyed driving, looked forward to errands, or EVER thought to nod or talk with other drivers of similar cars. I know the current mini isn't the same as your memories, my UK friends, but I'm really enjoying it and any connection!
I will be there!ReplyDelete
