Laura, I contacted Lisa Kantor last year while I was battling my insurance companies who denied my daughter an in network admission for residential care because they required that she fail a lower level of care and of course medically stable. I had naively first followed the course of appeal and nys appeal but lost even with my congress mans support. I contacted Lisa Kantor who could not help in ny but but me in touch with a very expensive lawyer who could , of course not even talk without a expensive paid paid consultation. Very lucky for me, I found 2 amazing young attorneys who have started a not for profit organization to help fight insurance companies for denial of benefits.. http://www.yourhealthcarerights.org/
