Unimaginable trespass

I cannot adequately express my horror and despair at the vile trespass of this:

  2. I'm just sick, disgusted, shattered, heartbroken, FURIOUS.
And he won't even admit to his wrongdoing.
    He's a sociopath.
Taking advantage of the most vulnerable people.

  3. My heart goes out to those poor girls and they should be commended for their bravery in speaking out. I hope they can find peace and healing.

As for the doctor, there are no words to express how sickened I am - taking advantage of seriously mentally ill patients in the most degrading and abusive way. I too am furious.

  7. Wow, that's horrific. A similar thing happened to one of my friends - a man sexually abused her while claiming to be treating her for her eating disorder. It's sadly not an uncommon occurrence - predators are attracted to vulnerable people. It's disgusting and I hope he ends up incarcerated for a very long time.

  8. I'm not surprised. Some studies have indicated that approximately 7% of psychotherapists have had an inappropriate sexual relationship with one or more clients. One more reason to favor FBT and be cautious about individual psychotherapy.

  9. Absolutely awful! It is maddening too how he tries to deny blame. Hope he is properly punished. Can you imagine the shame and further complications he has caused those poor girls? He is the lowest of the low!

  10. Unfortunately, there are clinicians or professional carers who take advantage of vulnerable patients, those with mental health issues and those with physical or intellectual disabilities. It is also a lot more common than many people would think.

I know of a similar cases in Australia with a clinician specialising in eating disorders molesting young patients.
