Celebration of life

Erin's family and friends and community came together yesterday for a beautiful celebration of her life yesterday in Milwaukee. It was humbling, heartbreaking, and an honor to be there.

Enough said.

  1. Enough said, yes. It's enough to make this mother of two try again, when I want to give up fighting the e/d. The situation may be different, but the end result would be horrible suffering for whoever is left without a loved one.

  2. I have to say, I don't understand: there is an avalanche of comments disagreeing about and commenting on the wording of differing treatment protocols, but ONE comment to this blog which is the most important one.

I did not know Erin, but Laura's description of what happened to her should be shouted from the trees. For her sake, for Erin's sake, we are often intemperate in our responses, dogmatic in our insistence on a different approach and desperate for the new science of eating disorders to be understood.

    For her sake.
