A heads-up for therapists and professionals interested in being trained in the Family-Based Maudsley approach to eating disorder treatment:

  1. I'm wondering...do you have to be a licensed social worker, psychologist, etc to participate...or can you just be a parent that wants to learn in order better to help their child?

  2. I don't mean to knock it - it's WONDERFUL that the University is offering this opportunity, but couldn't they have used a slightly less "anorexic" picture?

  3. I'm not sure. I've taken the training, myself, just to be educated. It is directed to clinicians, certainly.

    I would advise giving them a call or email if you're interested.
