Just because I can

Blogging from a campground next to a river... just because I can.

  1. Does your husband ever get upset with you for being unable to forget about this completely? Mine does.

  3. Anne,

My parents are astounded I can leave my laptop for more than 24 hours at at time- though they don't object to my not forgetting about this. :)

  4. If what you mean by "this" is letting go of working... he'd have a tough time criticizing since he's the same way.

We both LOVE our work, so it works out well.

If what you mean is the ED stuff, yes, he used to. When he looked at it as something that could only be painful and make me unhappy. For him, the ED was something to be put into the past and real life got back to. For me, the outrage that other parents are still being treated as problems not solutions, that the information on the biology of this illness is still downplayed - well, it has become a calling to right that wrong. And that he understands and supports.

In other words, when he thought my thinking about EDs was keeping me unhappy and stuck - he didn't like it. But when he sees it as my positive mission to help others, he is cool with it.
